Theres a Britain out there that you never knew existed. A Britain of
back roads and byways. A Britain a 1953 motorcyclist would still recognise.
A Britain where real ale is still served from micro breweries to accompany
real food that has'nt seen a sell by date or a roll of cling film.
A Britain where the Gaffers from the old Triumph motorcycle factory
would feel at home in.
What they would'nt recognise is the new generation of Triumph motorcycle
. Up from 12 to over 100 bhp yet still capable of following the meandering
lanes of the Kingdom.
And so this journey will be recreated for the benefit of a worthy charity.

The Man

Nigel C Winter is a practicing lawyer by day ( and too many nights ) and
a lifelong motorcyclist. Included in his areas of practice is personal
injury litigation, sometimes involving motorcyclists.
He also appreciates a life that some people are cruelly deprived off hence
his choice of charity for the 2007 gallop: Cancer Research.
He is absolutely not a racer, but enjoys motorcycles for seeing as much
of this world as as possible in an ecologically conscious way.
Motorcycles
appeal to many non motorcyclists who are put off by the incorrect perception
of a broken bones and brake horse power culture. Motorcycling is a broad
church. It offers absolute freedom like no other medium. Nigel hopes to
raise money for an excellent cause and increase peoples interest in the
“open road”.
